In a relaxed conversation, Pedro Pote, Director of Siimgroup, and Ana Morais, the group's property consultant, shared the path they have travelled together over the years.
Ana recalled the beginning of her career, 19 years ago, when she started out in one of the first REMAX shops, managed at the time by Pedro. Both discussed the profound differences of that period, when digitalisation was not yet part of everyday life and contact with customers was essentially face-to-face and personal.
Throughout the conversation, Ana highlighted the challenges and opportunities of working in a market that, at the time, was taking its first steps towards professionalisation and structuring.
Pedro added that the market was much more local at the time. ‘The focus was on the neighbourhood, on close relationships; the work was almost door-to-door,’ he commented. Today, the sector has a global dimension, driven by digital platforms that make it possible to connect with buyers anywhere in the world.
During the talk, there was also time to look to the future of the sector, emphasising that despite constant change, fundamental values such as trust and commitment to the customer remain timeless and indispensable to success.
