While the INE figures confirmed the drop in sales in the 1st quarter, Confidencial Imobiliário's forecasts for the 2nd quarter show the recovery of the market in May, namely in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area. The number of bank assessments also showed a slight rise in May, interrupting a continuous decline that lasted exactly one year since the inversion of monetary policy.
